Description
Butcher Petes or countrytown_business_05 is a large area containing a parking lot, one large 3 story building with a ramp leading to the basement of that building, a green gate with a small one story building that has a basement. The first floor is a shop, presumably where people would buy meat. The 2nd floor contains a meeting room, in which there are animal and human remains, indicating cannibalism. This could be out of desperation or cult like behavior. The third floor is a tiny apartment style house with one bedroom. Some speculate Butcher Pete is the feral wight that is guaranteed to spawn. Going into the attic reveals a broken panel above an elevator. The elevator goes to a refrigeration section where supplies, a body bag and more remains lie.
The button in the bottom garage and loading dock opens the other building; unleashing another hoard of zombies. The other building looks like a warehouse, where a dead body lies in a makeshift hospital setup. Some speculate Butcher Pete would receive dead bodies, harvest their blood and then store it for meat. However it is also possible in the early days of the apocalypse, this was used as a makeshift clinic, as semi slang term for surgeons is butcher. While intentions are difficult to speculate, something sinister occurred.
This Point of Interest was overhauled and improved in Alpha 20.

Trivia
- This location is likely a reference to Roy Brown's "Butcher Pete".
- It could also be a reference to Fallout 3, an RPG by Bethesda Softworks that used the song in its soundtrack.
- In older alphas, Butcher Pete's was originally a generic two story shop within Navezgame.
