The Admin noticeboard is one way through which users can notify administrators of issues needing administrative attention. While users are welcome to directly contact specific administrators (especially if they are seen to be active), posting here can be an easier and quicker way of ensuring that at least one admin will notice an issue and respond to it promptly.

Please note; this page is for wiki-related issues only. That would include broken wiki pages, repeated or persistent vandalism and/or spam, etc. General questions about the game or new bug notifications should be posted in the official 7 Days To Die forums.

Remember to sign (using four tildes: ~~~~) when posting an issue.

Before posting an issue here, please consider the following:

  • For deletion requests, see Help:Deleting
  • For content disputes, try first to resolve the issue using the specific talk (Discussion) page. You can also make a request for comment on the community portal to try to generate a consensus.
  • For issues regarding acceptable use of this wiki, please see our help center.
  • For vandalism and spam:
  • Revert the content.
  • If the vandal/spammer created a new page, tag it for deletion (see Help:Deleting).
  • When vandalism/spamming is not obviously intended, assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason.
  • Post here if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning.
  • Always avoid a revert war with the vandal/spammer; it is far better to wait until an admin has a chance to intervene.
  • When reporting vandalism here, provide as much information as possible to help the admins locate the vandalized page(s) as well as the user's profile if they have registered.

Please post new topics at the bottom of the page by clicking here, or clicking on the Edit tab and scrolling to the bottom.

Private World Settings - How to Fine-Tune World Settings

So I've looked around a lot and haven't been able to find anything about how to configure settings for local worlds and saves using values that aren't available by default in-game. I don't know if there are any mods to allow that directly in-game, but I did discover a way to do it manually that doesn't require any sort of download or anything. As it turns out, the 7D2D default launcher that comes with the vanilla game has a button explicitly for manual configuration of game settings, including the world settings. All of the settings are given the same names and almost the same values you see in the serverconfig.xml file you use for dedicated servers. The only difference is that true and false are instead 1 and 0, respectively. On Windows OS (which I think is the only OS that runs 7D2D, except maybe Linux), the settings button on the game launcher (not the game's main menu) brings up a window with a bunch of hex code and setting names on the left.

To modify any local game settings across all 7D2D game downloads in your PC (as they all localize their settings to the same place), right-click on the setting name you want to edit, click "Modify," and input the numeric value you wish to use for that setting following the same rules as serverconfig.xml. Just make sure that you have the value you're inputting set to "Decimal," NOT "Hexadecimal," or the setting will save wrong. Whatever value is shown in the parentheses is what you just set that game setting to. Once finished, just close the file and start your game. Some settings may not appear correct when starting up the world save, but I assure you that they are.

This will be valuable info not just for me, but for anyone else looking to fine-tune their world settings for local worlds outside of the constraints given to us by the game. Hope this helps, and I look forward to seeing it added to the wiki.
