This template is used to identify articles that need attention. This serves two functions:

1. Notifies editors the article needs attention
2. Alerts readers that the information may not be accurate

Usage

Basic usage

Place the template at the top of the article and optionally provide a reason cleanup is necessary. The result will be a notice at the top of the page requesting help cleaning up the article.

If the reason is lengthy or you would like to spark a discussion, use the page's talk page, which is linked from inside the infobox.

Auto-categorization

By default this template will categorize articles in a hidden maintenance category: Category:Cleanup.

It is also possible to categorize articles in other categories, depending on the use of specific keywords (documented below). If the keyword "Outdated" is used for the "Reason" parameter as in: |Reason=Outdated, the template will categorize the article into the Category:Cleanup_outdated category.

Auto-categorization can be suppressed by using the |nocat=1 parameter.

Parameters

At this time, all parameters are optional.

Parameter	Function
date	Allows the editor to reflect the date the article was tagged.
Reason	A short explanation of what needs cleaned up. See also keywords below.
nocat	Suppresses auto-categorization

Below are optional, pre-formatted reasons that allow for additional standardization in the way the infobox is worded as well as a quick way to add the template to pages:

Simply use the keyword (case sensitive) as your Reason and the infobox will use the pre-formatted response below:
