The basic structure of an item page should follow the structure of this example page. Consistent structure helps readers to find needed information quickly and easily as they click links working through a recipe, for example.

In each section, provide adequate details to make the information useful and relevant, yet concise and to-the-point.

To create the infobox to the right, use Template:Infobox_item

Description

Describe the item and its uses here. Be general but specific enough to give a 40,000-foot-view understanding, leaving technical specifics for sections below.

You can also quote the description provided in-game (be sure to use quotes around it to avoid plagiarism problems).

Crafting

Required Items

Ues the Template:Recipe here. You can also cut-and-paste the following after the recipe:

To craft {{PAGENAME}}, select any of its component parts in your [[Crafting_Menu|inventory]] and select "Assemble" in the <b>Examine</b> pane.

Style tip: don't place links in header titles.

Scrapping

Optional—the item may not be scrap-able, in which case you should indicate as such using the proper parameter in the infobox above.

Upgrading

Optional—the item may not be upgradable. If the item is upgradable, describe how. The page for Reinforced Concrete is a good example of illustrating the process of upgrading the rebar frame to reinforced concrete:

Style tip: don't use a single-item list or single bullet. If it's only one item to note, no need for a bullet point or a numbered list.

Notes

Optional. You can put release notes here or you can note quarks and hiccups as well. It's always good if you can document external references (such as the release notes). To do so, enclose the link in <ref> </ref> tags and Mediawiki will format it for you like this[1].

References

Add this section if you use <ref> </ref> tags in sections above.
