Hey there, if you want to add your own server to the Dedicated Server Providers page, I would recommend you to contact one of the local admins, which you can see the list of on the Community Portal. Also do not forget to sign your messages by adding four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your messages. MannedTooth (talk) 19:29, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
( that is superhard. To be honest I am not sure what I should do. "Local" in what sense? Can't I just contact via email? Or can't you just send him the link/content?

Outdated main page

Hello,

The main page is very outdated. It needs updating (the whole wiki needs new admins, all of them are very inactive)

AgrastiOs (talk) 22:13, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

Hey there, thank you for your concerns. Unfortunately, a wiki's only as good/active as its community. Unless you want to make those changes or have a team of admins to suggest, there's not much I can personally do. MannedTooth (talk) 22:17, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for the fast response. I'm writing to you only now because I wanted to say thanks for making GaKo an admin. Seeing the amazing work he's doing lately, I wanted to recommend him to be turned to one. I'd like to update the main page (not mentioning the other areas that also require updating), I've had and still am doing editor work (for example, a few websites), so if I could be given permission to do so, that would be great :) . AgrastiOs (talk)
What kind of update would you like to apply to the main page? If it's just a link or two, you can ask me or any other staff to see about it, if it's about CSS/layout, I'd recommended you copy the main page on your own user space and test things there first as to not affect negatively the appearance of the wiki for visitors in the process, if that makes sense. The layout is fine; only the images, the text, and the video need updating. There are also a few pages that need deletion, and a new version category has to be added for the files. I suppose I can request GaKo for these things, so I think I'll do that :). AgrastiOs (talk)

A request to be an admin in 7 Days to Die -wiki

Hello there. As you actually stated in the topic above, our wiki is fairly inactive. However, I would like to at least try to recover it.
This means updating the wiki's content and functions (which is mainly the reason for this request). Also, our wiki doesn't seem to have that many active admins (if all).
I don't know how this type of thing is usually handled but I hope to hear from you soon.

Hey there, the wiki is indeed pretty much in a more or less inactive state. You don't need admin rights to start contributing to the wiki, all these do is allow you to move, delete and protect pages. You should be good to do anything else right away. I also invite you to join the official Discord server and reach out to fellow wiki editors. MannedTooth (talk) 22:54, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your response. For the most you are right, but some of the editing I'd like to do includes the usage of Java Script, which requires administrator's rights as far as I'm aware.

The "functions" term I used in the first post means more or less Java Script and possible use of other tools with it (for example widgets, which again, as far as I'm aware, are not allowed at the moment). This kind of work would be the primary usage of my administrator's rights but of course without forgetting the original admin's work. I think the moderating part would still be smaller because of the community's size :). Thank you for the Discord link too. I have already joined said server and started connecting with others. It is actually the place where I got the suggestion to use Java Script. Thank you for your time. Hope to hear your response soon.

So, considering how severely lacking the wiki is, I see no harm in making you an admin (which I did) as long as you know what you are doing. Don't hesitate to coordinate your efforts with the other admin members. :) MannedTooth (talk) 00:56, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. I will try to divide our workload between us in the future, but I fear hardly any of them actually use this wiki frequently enough. But, only the future will tell us. Thank you for now.
