Description
If a character's "feels like" temperature exceeds 80°F (26.7°C), the Hot buff will be applied. A yellow sun icon will appear in the HUD and the edges of the screen will gradually take on an orange hazy look. This buff increases the character's consumption of water when recovering stamina, causing them to get thirsty more quickly. The effects of this buff can be mitigated or completely counteracted by the Well Insulated perk. If the character's temperature rises above 100°F (37.8°C) then the Sweltering debuff will apply instead.
Effects
While this debuff is active Hydration will be drained by 3 points for every point of stamina recovered.
This debuff, as well as Sweltering, cannot directly kill a character. However if Hydration is decreased below 2% then the character will be Severely Dehydrated and will begin taking damage over time.
