Description
Encumbered is a Status Effect giving a negative buff that occurs when the player is using more inventory slots than their Carrying Capacity allows. The current Carrying Capacity is visualized by examining the
Inventory, where open inventory slots are displayed as well as slots with a
background. These slots are simply a visual indicator of how many slots can be filled before becoming Encumbered, as removing an item from a regular slot also reduces encumbrance.
Every slot over the limit reduces movement speed by 0.026%.
Items in the Toolbelt and worn Armor do not affect encumbrance.
Precautions
Ways to negate this Status Effect immediately is to:
- Remove items from your inventory by dropping or storing unneeded items.
- Scrapping different items into raw materials.
- Pack Mule raises the number of items that can be carried by 3 or 4 per level.
- Add Armor Pocket Mod, Armor Double Pocket Mod, Armor Triple Pocket Mod, and/or Armor Quad Pocket Mod to your Armor.
- Use Steroids, which increases carrying capacity by 50, essentially unlocking all encumbered slots.
