Description

Fullness is one of the main Character Stats. Fullness (Food) is a measure of the Food level of a character. It slowly decreases over time, as well as when recovering Stamina. Failure to maintain a level of Fullness above 50% will lead to a character receiving progressively worse debuffs. Below 2% Fullness Starving will drain health over time and eventually kill if left untreated.

Temperature

Temperature affects Fullness. If a character is cold Fullness is decreased at a quicker rate.

  • When a character is Cold Fullness is drained 30% faster over time, and is further decreased at a rate of 1 per stamina point recovered
  • When a character is Freezing Fullness is drained 60% faster over time, and is further is decreased at a rate of 2 per stamina point recovered

The perk Well Insulated decreases the amount of Fullness loss when cold, and makes a character more resistant to getting cold in the first place.

Fullness Depletion

In the absence of performing activities that use Stamina, Fullness decreases steadily at a barely noticeable rate. While recovering Stamina Fullness decreases faster.

The perk Iron Gut and the drink Red Tea reduce both Fullness and Hydration depletion.

  • When Fullness drops below 50%, the status effect Hungry is applied, notifying you that your stamina is decreased.
  • When Fullness drops below 25%, the status effect Very Hungry is applied, notifying you that stamina is decreased.
  • When Fullness drops below 2%, the status effect Starving is applied, notifying you that your stamina is decreased and damaging you over time.

Fullness Restoration

Virtually all Food items will restore Fullness when consumed. With the exception of some early game foods, most of the foods that can be cooked on a Campfire restore more Fullness than the canned food which can be found in loot.

Bacon and Eggs are a common early game food source as it only requires Raw Meat and Eggs to craft. Though it also requires a recipe to unlock or one level in Master Chef.
