A Scrap Metal Pile, resembling short sections of girder, can be found in abundance lying around on the ground in the Wasteland biome. It can be scraped to make Iron and can be melted in the forge to be used as a source of iron for other recipes. A Scrap Metal Pile is one of the easiest to access and most readily available sources of large amounts of material to be used as an input in the forge.

Scrapping

It is possible to scrap Scrap Metal Pile to produce Iron. One Scrap Metal Pile will produce two Iron.

Forge

The player can place a Scrap Metal Pile into a Forge and it will be melted into iron. One Scrap Metal Pile will produce 1.0 lbs of Iron.
