Description

Glass Blocks are a very weak, forgeable building material. They can be used as a window, but like all window panes, it acts like a piece of furniture, letting the rain through. The Glass Block sits on the edge of the block, providing a smooth surface on one side. A better option for windows is the Shower Glass Block which acts like a solid block and is easier to see through.

Block Varieties

The Glass Block comes in a number of different varieties, each with the same durability and features. The only difference is the shape and hit boxes, which may allow you to shoot through them or walk up them. There are rare cases, when a variety has different properties, see Notes below for specific information.

Variety Up-gradable Degradable Craftable

GlassBusinessCTRPlate.png Glass Plate Centered [BVL 2] Yes No Yes
GlassBusinessPlateCurved.png Glass Curved Plate No No Yes
GlassBusinessSheet.png Glass Sheet [BVL 2] No No Yes

Notes

  1. Acts as a solid block, blocking out the rain and smells(?).
  2. 2.0 2.1 Can be upgraded with wooden plugs

There is a similar block named Business Glass Centered, it sits in the center of the block. However, it is not a crafting ingredient in TVs

Note

  • Glass Block drops Broken Glass upon destruction.
  • The Business Glass Plate Centered & Business Glass Sheet can be crafted and used as traps. They can also be upgraded with wood to prevent falling when walking over them.

The recipe above contains the Resources needed to craft the Glass Block for each level of the Advanced Engineering Perk.
A higher level in the associated perk will decrease the crafting cost, saving resources.

Upgrading

The window panes, not the blocks and curved versions, can be reinforced with materials using any construction tool.
