Lock Picking is a perk under the General Perks tab and not associated with any Attribute levels.

Leveling this perk increases the chance of finding Forge Ahead Crafting Skill Magazines up to level 12 of the Workstations skill. It also increases the chance to find Lockpicks and The Great Heist Perk Books.

Requirements and Effects

1 Burglar You are starting to make a name for yourself. You can pick locks 20% faster and have a 10% lower chance to break lockpicks. 1 PT
2 Lock Smith You are now a lock smith and few locks will keep you out. You can pick locks 40% faster and have a 20% lower chance to break lockpicks. 2 PT
3 Safe Cracker You are now a world class safe cracker. Pick locks 60% faster and have a 30% lower chance to break lockpicks. 3 PT

Notes

  • Since Update 2.0 Lock Picking has been moved to the General Perks and is no longer associated with any attribute. It now requires spending more skill points to unlock each level of Lock Picking.
  • Every level of Lock Picking increases the chance to find The Great Heist Perk Books & Forge Ahead Magazines (maximum of +1000%) and resets to the base 100% after having read all volumes or reaching Workstations crafting level 12 respectively.
