Description
The Paint Brush is used to paint building blocks. You can also erase unwanted paint from blocks.
Painting Techniques
While holding the Paint Brush, press and hold the Reload (default 'R') key in order to bring up the Paint Brush radial menu, then select the paint brush tool you wish to use. There are 3 painting techniques from which to choose:
- Paint Brush: Applies paint to the surface of the targeted block.
- Paint Roller: Applies paint to the surface of a 3x3 area of blocks centered around the targeted block.
- Paint Surface: Applies paint to the entire surface contiguous with and of the same material as the targeted block.
There is also a radial button for Paint All Sides that can be selected for all sides to be included when any block is painted. The Paint All Sides option can be toggled on and off.
Painting Texture
While holding the Paint Brush, press and hold Reload (default 'R' key) in order to bring up the Paint Brush radial menu, then select Materials. This will bring up a selection of the 173 paint textures available as of Alpha 21.
Alternatively, you can target a block prior to opening the radial menu and select Texture Picker to select that block's texture.
Applying Paint
To apply paint, you must have the required Paint in your inventory or on your toolbelt. Equip the Paint Brush and click while facing the target block.
Removing Paint
To remove paint and restore the block's original texture, equip the Paint Brush and click while facing your target block.
