Description

A lockable chest which must be crafted. Smaller in size than the craftable Storage Box and Writable Storage Box.

The Secure Storage Chest can be destroyed, causing it to degrade into a non-lockable Storage Chest.

Lockable Container Options

The Secure Storage Chest may be opened using the Activate (default 'E') key. Note that a Secure Storage Chest that has been locked is able to be opened by its owner without unlocking it first.

Pressing and holding the Activate key will bring up a radial menu with several options:

• Search: Opens the Secure Storage Chest allowing access to its content.
• Enter Code: Allows the owner of the Secure Storage Chest to set/change the access code.
• Lock/Unlock: Sets/removes the locked status. An unlocked chest can be opened by any player. A locked Secure Storage Chest can only be opened by players that have previously entered the current access code. If locked and no access code has been set, only its owner is able to access and unlock it.

Notes

• One way to organize your chests is to create a Wooden Sign label.
• A locked Secure Storage Chest is not very secure. A few hits with a Fireaxe breaks the lock and allows it to be opened by anyone.
• When a Secure Storage Chest is entirely destroyed, a Dropped Loot backpack will appear containing everything that was stored.
