Description

The Shotgun Auto Turret senses targets in its view and fires shotgun shells at them.

Unlocking

Unlocked after getting Advanced Engineering level 4 or reading the Shotgun Turret Schematic. The schematic can rarely spawn anywhere other schematics and books can be found such as bookshelves and mailboxes, however you are more likely to get it from Mo Power Crates and shelving. The Mo Power Crates and shelves specifically spawn schematics, among other things, related to electricity including the Shotgun Auto Turret.

The recipe above contains the Resources needed to craft the Shotgun Auto Turret for each level of the Advanced Engineering Perk.
A higher level in the associated perk will decrease the crafting cost, saving resources.

Usage

Like the Auto Turret, the Shotgun Auto Turret will automatically target any player or Zed in its view, depending on how the player sets the target preference. The Shotgun Auto Turret can be set to target Self, Allies, Strangers, Enemies, or any combination of the four. Its line of vision can be adjusted by hitting the interact button. Once you are in the turrets interface you can click on the preview in the bottom left to manually aim the turret. While changing the line of view, the display becomes a grainy black and white, with a blue cone in the center of vision demonstrating the extent of the turret's aggro range. So long as a recognized target falls within that range, the turret will aim and shoot until the target is dead or the turret is out of ammunition. This does require electricity/power to operate.

When filling the turret with ammunition, the player can add up to 150 rounds of Shotgun Ammo into any of the three ammunition slots, allowing for a total of 450 rounds to be loaded into the turret. The player must "Lock" the ammunition into place, or the turret won't fire. When locked, ammunition cannot be added to or removed from the turret.

The owner of a Shotgun Auto Turret can pick it up by placing a Land Claim Block nearby and holding E while activating the turret.
