Description

Antibiotics are a medical supply used to cure any Infections spread by Zombies. They can be created using a chemistry recipe with a Beaker on a Campfire using a suitable Combustible fuel source. They can also be crafted at the Chemistry Station, which is more efficient and requires less ingredients. Antibiotics are often found in Medicine Cabinets, in Pill Cases at Pop-N-Pills, and in Supply Crates.

Antibiotics reduce infection by 25% and is a far better alternative to Herbal Antibiotics and Honey which reduce infection by 10% and 5% respectively. At low levels of infection all three medicines will cure an infection. It may be more prudent to use weaker medicines rather than Antibiotics in this case.

Effects

Antibiotics are vital in the cure of Zombie Infection. Each dose of antibiotics will decrease your infection level by 25%. If you are close to death with nearly 100% infection it will take 4 doses to cure you, though a lesser number of doses will still ward off death for a while longer. This is a significantly stronger cure than Herbal Antibiotics and Honey which decrease infection by 10% and 5% respectively.

Experience

You will gain 80 experience when you cook the recipe the first time, and 20 experience each time you cook it afterwards.

History

• As of Alpha 13, Antibiotics no longer increases Wellness.
• As of Alpha 20, Antibiotics no longer cures Dysentery and is crafted with Old Sham Sandwiches directly instead of Moldy Bread.
